Gorgeous smelling incense for €2.50 – €2.95

So, one may ask, how is it possible to sell gorgeous smelling incense for €2.50 – €2.95, which usually sells for €4 and more? Here is the secret: we don’t use expensive packaging and flashy websites; we do not advertise but rely solely on customer recommendations and word of mouth. And we buy directly from small family-owned businesses at a fair price.

What the experts say about us

The Olfactory Rescue Service, or ORS as many know it, is the oldest and most respected incense review website, covering quality incense from all over the world:

“It seems from looking at the site that Good Incenses are more affordably priced by comparison to Bhagwan, they don’t come in the fancy boxes and are just simply presented in wrappers. But there are honestly a lot of nice incenses in this line as well, including a trend of similarly constructed incenses that present a different tradition to what I have experienced in other Indian exports. It’s a line that intrigues me quite a bit, definitely quality but not having the hallmarks of incenses more commonly seen in the west; it’s the kind of trend you hope for.”

Origin of our sticks

We source our incense from small family businesses in South India who make their sticks according to generations old conservative recipes.

And you won’t find these companies on the map – they are located in villages and remote locations.

Ingredients from a forest and a jungle

Our incense smells a bit raw and unrefined sometimes – this is because our suppliers are using their local wood powders, resins and oils, as well as essential oils made nearby. Very often their ingredients come from a local forest or a jungle.

Temple grade incense made with a precious halmaddi resin

Our incense sticks are made in South Indian states of Karnataka and Tamil Nadu, places where incense is traditionally made with a raw halmaddi resin.

Our halmaddi is sourced from the sustainable forests in Puttur area of Karnataka. It is a pure raw halmaddi, available only to selected incense makers in India.

Yes, we are called Good Incense for a reason!
